The fine people at TREBA had a vision to change the way that we hear music. We had a vision to revolutionize their brand. Together, we created a brand that captured the natural acoustic qualities of their product design, thus positioning TREBA as a leader in innovative sound equipment.
TREBA amplifies high-quality sound using an all-natural wood design. We developed a brand that resonates with a music-loving audience and captures the quaint, rustic feeling of nature life. By merging the words treble and bass, we used linguistic synergy as the main concept behind the name of this brand.
Placing emphasis on the natural, we developed a wordmark-based identity which piques intrigue through the gestalt principle of propositional density. Upon first glance, the texture in the logo appears to be wood grain, but upon closer inspection, sound waves are revealed in the design. Throughout the identity system, we played up on the complementing textures of wood and sound waves to create a harmonious visual hierarchy between the identity elements.
We enhanced the marketability of this product by creating a fully responsive online identity that mirrors the look and feel of the textured print materials. Our cutting-edge smartphone app allows the user to adjust the treble and bass output to maximize the sound quality of their favorite music.
The TREBA brand was completed with a home-made style video that showed local artists holding an intimate fire-side concert using the TREBA amplifier.
